To whom it may concern:
My name is Rev. Raymond Davis. I am a member of the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist denomination based in North Carolina. I have pastored and now and the missionary to the Northern Philippines for my denomination.
I am writing this email to vouch for Pastor Gervase Masanja from Tanzania. I have know Bro. Gervase for many years now - as a matter of fact, I helped him with setting up the organizational structure for his church - Pentecostal Missionary Church. The beliefs and practices are very familiar to the PFWB, AG, COG and other well-known pentecostal denominations.
Bro. Gervase started with 12 members in his church and with the annointing and blessings of God, the PMC has really grown there in Tanzania. It is now over 40+ churches in Tanzania and 25-30 churches in 4 other countries - Malawi, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo and also in Kenya. I am told his membership is now upwards of 5000. Praise God that they are reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Brother Gervase and I have interacted for years, meeting in Africa and also here in the USA as he has been a guest at my home twice in the last 3 years and spoke at several churches within our denomination. He has a passion to reach the lost in the small villages and areas that are very rural and unreached. Many of his congregations are extremely poor and are in need. This is the vision God has given to Pastor Masanja and he has worked hard as the Lord has opened doors for him.
During Bro. Gervase's most recent trip, he and I put together a DVD and powerpoint on the work there. I ask that you pray and consider allowing Bro. Gervase to share with your congregation what is happening there and I also encourage you to help through prayer, regular communication and giving. They are in need of land to build their church and hq for orphanage, sanctuary, gospel literature distribution center and national headquarters. They are in need of approximately $7000 for the purchase of land. I am just asking you to pray and see what the Lord says about allowing him to share. The video is only about 10 minutes long but does give some good highlights on the ministry work there.
Finally, should you need to contact me, feel free to email me at pastorraydavis @ yahoo.com. You can also verify my missionary status at www.pfwb.org. If you wish to view any past missionary work of mine, just choose DEPARTMENTS and then WORLD WITNESS DEPT on that website, and click on the link for NORTHERN PHILIPPINES newsletters.
While Bro Gervase is not affiliated officially with the PFWB, he is a good friend of mine and a man of God. This is the reason for writing this letter. Sometimes, it is hard to know if someone is legitimate or not and I want to share with you that I have only observed good things from him.
God is good to us and we are blessed. Pray and see what the Lord might lay on your heart and if you have the opportunity, I ask that you allow him a few minutes to share. It's not often that we get an actual person from a country like Tanzania, Africa. God bless.

To whom it may concern:
I have known Gervase now for three years and find him to be very communicative. He has a ministry that is really making a difference in peoples lives. Gervase is honest and trustworthy, He uses the money for what he says he will.
He is very organized and makes the best use of his time and finances. I feel he can be our key to helping the African people both physically and spiritually. Gervase does far more with less compared to sending a missionary to Africa.
I would encourage you to support Gervase in His work in Tanzania. However His ministry extends to other countries as well. To my knowledge, Gervase does not use the money for his own gain.
